Final Project
INTRODUCTION
FINAL PROJECT
Use your character from your previous project 1, animate a 5 to 10 second physical action sequence.
Choose an action sequence that involves physical movement, such as a fight, chase, or sports-related activity. Develop a clear understanding of the desired outcome, key actions, and the emotions you want to convey in the scene.
Create a storyboard that visualises the key moments, actions and emotion of the scene. Incorporate variety of camera shots, angles and visual continuity to enhance the visual storytelling.
Create a project in Adobe Animate. Set the setting as 24fps, 16:9 aspect ratio with 1280 x 720 (HD720p) resolution.
Perform all the processes that you have learnt in the previous lesson to produce the final animation such as animate the animation from rough, tie down, clean up and colouring.
The animation should show the quality of appeal, fluidity, flexibility and clarity and the understanding of cinematography and editing.
Edit the final animation with sound effects and background music.
Upload progress and final work on your e-portfolio and update the link on MYTIMES platform as submission.
Deadline for submission is by Week 14.
PROCESS
Fig1.1 Character design,Week 12(06/12/2024)
This is the character I designed in project 1. In this project, I will continue to use this character according to the teacher's request.
STORYBOARD
Before I start to animate the task, I need to design the story version, in which I explain the direction of the characters' movement, the way the shots are changed, and the duration of each scene.
With regard to character movements, I still chose to walk. Although this action looks simple, it tests the basis of the producer. Through my previous study, I found that my animation foundation was still relatively weak, so I decided to do another consolidation training at the end of the term.
I divided the picture into three segments, and in order to make the picture not monotonous, I designed the background of the picture.
Fig1.2 Scene design,Week 12(06/12/2024)
My background production chose a scene similar to that of the school, because in the character setting, the character's profession is a teacher from the wizarding school.I used the digital board to start sketching the background. I referred to the corridors of the school, the arrangement of windows and classrooms, and the stairs. I put all these elements together to show that the scene was a place like a teaching building.
Fig1.3 Scene design,Week 12(06/12/2024)
Then draw the line draft.I use finer lines to draw the corridor, first using roughly black and white to show the relationship between light and shade, so as to facilitate later coloring.
Fig1.4 Scene design,Week 12(06/12/2024)
The next step is to color. In order to make the picture more harmonious, I chose a dark color system that matches the color of the character's clothing. The overall color matching is more retro and the picture is comfortable.
Fig1.5 Scene design,Week 13(13/12/2024)
In the storyboard, the scene conversion of animation is also a major focus of the content. When making scenes from a new angle, I carefully recalled what I had learned in previous scene exercises and implemented the principles of near big, big and small, high in front and low in back, and distant and close in front.
Fig1.6 Scene design,Week 13(13/12/2024)
The next step is still to refine the draft, make the picture cleaner and tidy, and add some details to make the picture richer.
Fig1.7 Scene design,Week 13(13/12/2024)
When painting, keep the same color with the previous picture, make sure that the audience clearly perceives the same scene, and add some lighting details.
Fig1.8 Scene design,Week 13(13/12/2024)
Due to the change of the picture I designed, I need to make a distinction between the scenes on both sides of the corridor to reflect the different angles of the scene. Without destroying the general design rules of the corridor, I drew an extra window at the end of the corridor at the other end to make a distinction.

Fig1.10 Add character,Week 14(21/12/2024)
In order to make it easier for me to draw characters, I adjusted the background layer to black and white lines and added characters.
Because of the complexity and detail of the characters, I did not draw directly on the digital board. Instead, I used the flat panel for initial sketching and finally imported.
Fig1.11 Role coloring,Week 14(21/12/2024)
Fig1.12 Role coloring,Week 14(21/12/2024)
The next step is to color, and the projection of the character on the ground should also be added, which can increase the integrity of the picture. Because of the previous character design, the colors of the character's clothing, hair and other places are consistent with those in project1.

Finally, to add sound effects, I added footsteps and the sound of magic wands surging with energy.
Beginning the final extend of making an movement with physical activity was intense but too exceptionally fulfilling. I begun by considering of an energizing scene that would challenge my abilities and creative ability. The method required cautious arranging, from creating storyboards to the ultimate item. One of the foremost vital parts was attempting diverse ways to make complex developments. There were times when I felt disappointed, particularly when a few parts didn't go as arranged. But these challenges turned into chances for me to progress my aptitudes and learn more almost activity essentials, like timing, dividing, and weight. Seeing the completed extend made me feel truly pleased since it appeared all the difficult work and inventiveness I had put into it.
Observations
All through this venture, I watched the monstrous significance of pre-production. Each well-thought-out storyboard outline spared time amid the liveliness stage. Furthermore, the nuances in physical development, such as the slight shifts in adjust or the follow-through of appendages, got to be more clear to me. Watching real-life references played a vital part in establishing the movement in authenticity, indeed when the arrangement inclined toward embellishment. I moreover taken note how minor alterations, like tweaking the bends of movement or refining the facilitating in and out of keyframes, essentially affected the generally ease and trustworthiness of the activity.
Findings
One important idea is that knowing who the character is and what inspires them is key to understanding how they grow and change. This understanding helped the movement have a clear purpose and made the activities feel more thoughtful. I also saw how important it is to keep work organized. Separating the bunch into littler, sensible parts not as it were made the method simpler but moreover guaranteed that everything remained the same all through. Testing with special computer program apparatuses makes a difference me get it their extraordinary highlights and challenges, which includes to my specialized aptitudes. These lessons will certainly alter how I will handle future ventures, highlighting the significance of profound understanding of accounts and specialized exactness in work.
