REFLECTION

Experience:
Through the teacher's explanation and independent research and learning, I understand the complexity and profundity of the layout curriculum. Before we start to design fonts, we need to know about the structure and types of letters. We can change some font details through the characteristics of different letters, so that every word made up of letters looks beautiful and harmonious. During the 14-week course exploration, I learned a lot about fonts, such as the invention and development of characters, including the evolution and changes of fonts. In the process of learning and practicing font design, we should have the courage to try and innovate constantly. We can collect some materials on the Internet to learn, inspire our own inspiration, and design our own satisfactory and practical fonts through continuous improvement.

Observation:
Through these 14 weeks of study, I now have a certain understanding and grasp of text typesetting and font details. I can find subtle differences in two similar fonts, as well as some small deficiencies in typesetting. I can observe that in some excellent works, their highlights and uniqueness can be as deep as possible to understand an excellent work. I found that layout is a very important subject, it is almost everywhere in our daily life, such as store posters and novel typesetting, the layout is fully integrated into our lives, this is a very interesting and incredible thing. You may not feel the layout when you are busy making a living, but once you are at ease, you will suddenly find that the layout has surrounded you.

Findings:
Layout design is definitely not a simple course, it involves not only artistic creativity but also advanced software technology. It is a subject that needs to combine traditional and modern organically. This is what I found after studying the layout course for a period of time. The layout course makes me feel like a craftsman, using high-tech means to improve my creative efficiency, while also using my eyes and hands to adjust those abrupt details. This is a subject that requires a certain degree of obsessive-compulsive disorder, and in my eyes, it pursues the perfection of the final effect.
