EXERCISE
Task 3|Type exploration and application
In arrange to achieve this task, I have to be choose a common heading.
1. By making totally modern textual styles, you'll illuminate a few issues in a particular zone or give arrangements for zones of intrigued.
2. By making strides on the premise of existing textual styles, it can way better adjust to particular needs or areas
3. Distinguish potential shortcomings or regions for assist change in existing ranges and propose inventive arrangements.
At the beginning, I put forward three design ideas, starting from the scene, style and design method of font design, and launched a preliminary conceptual design for the latter two points.
After watching the teacher's comments on my classmates, I chose the second design idea and decided to continue with this work. I combined the original font with the original design sketch to make my initial design more mechanical while making the original font more convenient to read.
INSPIRATION
I searched the Internet for mechanical style fonts, and saw such a design case, I think this design is simple and artistic, very mechanical, I like it very much.
But because this case has only a few uppercase letters and too much space between fonts, it is easy to cause visual fatigue, so I decided to modify it and make it complete.

DIGITAL DESIGN
I began to make my fonts on the computer, and because my fonts were made up of straight lines, I didn't add an auxiliary circular pattern when using guides.
At the same time, because of the difference in the tilt of some fonts and the need for multiple guides, I decided to complete my font design in the same set of guides.
After that, I roughly decomposed the elements and modules needed for each letter according to the draft diagram, and divided them into uppercase and lowercase letter modules.

I assembled the module into a letter and described it with a pen tool, while making it, I constantly modified the details of the letter according to the advice given by Mr. Vinod.
I recorded the process of modifying some of the letters. At this stage, I mainly adjusted the relationship between the thickness and length of each part of the letter.

fig1.6 Modification process,Week 11 (1/7/2024) In the 12th week, we began to make lowercase letters, which are more complex than uppercase letters. I need to constantly compare and modify lowercase and uppercase letters to make uppercase and lowercase letters look more uniform. After examining Mr. Vinod, I continued to modify it according to his request. The main goal of this revision is to unify the size and thickness of the letters, which is very similar to what needed to be changed last week. This time, I still recorded part of the font modification process, and selected several of the most typical ones to show |

In addition to lowercase letters, we also need to make some punctuation marks. I started the production of punctuation marks immediately after the completion of lowercase letters. The process of making punctuation marks is very simple and convenient.
Finally, I imported the finished font into a new AI file

Then I found that I had missed the numbers 5, 7, and 8. After these three letters were combined by me using the decomposition module, I forgot to retrace them with the pen tool.

FONT RENDERING APPLICATION
Because my fonts have certain mechanical elements, I think they will be more suitable for the style of science and technology. When creating font display posters, I try to use colors such as blue, purple and green that can reflect the sense of technology.

FEEDBACK
Week 9 Specific Feedback:The details of the letters should be unified to make them more like a font, and the use of logo should be adapted to the scene, and some scenes should use simple logo. General Feedback:We should make some fonts that are easy to read, and too fancy designs need to be avoided.
Week 10 Specific Feedback:Guides or font modules are needed to ensure that the details of the font are consistent and make the font more complete General Feedback:In arrange for the consistency of the letterforms, we ought to have a framework structure that not as it were incorporate boxes but can too be circle, corner to corner linex etc. Too, the text style that we are doingshould have a reason or issue to unravel.
Week 11 Specific Feedback:Some of the lines of the letters are not smooth and complete, and the joints are not neat, so they should be adjusted to keep the lines smooth.
Week 12 Specific Feedback:To keep the font width consistent, you can properly discard some complex parts to make the font look more written.
Week 13 Specific Feedback:I need to finish the font modification and get into the poster production as soon as possible.
REFLECTION
Experience
Textual style plan includes numerous essential plan standards, such as extent, dispersing, arrangement, visual adjust and so on. These standards are not as it were critical in text style plan, but too pertinent in blurb plan. In this manner, acing these essential information is exceptionally basic to the full plan handle.
Ovservations
Within the course, I realized the adjust between inventiveness and hone. Unadulterated imagination may need down to earth operation, and paying as well much consideration to commonsense operation may restrain the effort of inventiveness. Therefore, the plan handle ought to be always balanced to discover the finest combination of the two.
Whether it is textual style plan or blurb generation, the extreme objective is to communicate data. Hence, the plan handle has to continuously consider the user's reading involvement and the impact of data transmission. This incorporates choosing easy-to-read textual styles, sensible typesetting, and plan components that draw in consideration.
Plan software such as Adobe Artist and Photoshop are the most apparatuses for textual style plan and blurb making. Acing the utilize of these instruments can enormously progress the productivity and quality of plan. Within the course, I progressed my capability within the operation of these apparatuses through persistent hone.
Findings
For the most part talking, the course of text style plan and blurb making may be a exceptionally challenging and fulfilling course. Through orderly ponder and hone, I have essentially progressed my plan capacity and inventive considering. Trust that there will be more opportunities for in-depth think about and hone within the future, and continually make strides their claim plan level.
FURTHER READING
Vignelli Canon on Design
In task 1, I read the first half of the book, while in task 3, I began to read the second half of the book.
- The quintessence of plan
Vignelli emphasizes that the center of plan is to illuminate issues and pass on data. The assignment of creators isn't as it were to make lovely visual impacts, but too to solve down to earth issues through plan, so as to communicate information more clearly and viably. This function-oriented plan concept is over and over emphasized within the book, reflecting Vignelli's profound understanding of the nature of plan.
- The significance of Network framework
The utilize of network system is talked about in detail within the book. Vignelli accepts that framework framework is one of the essential instruments for plan, which can not as it were offer assistance architects keep the format clean and reliable, but too move forward plan effectiveness. Through precise framework frameworks, originators can superior organize substance and make it less demanding for perusers to get it and acknowledge data.
- Typesetting and textual style choice
Vignelli particularly emphasizes the significance of typesetting in plan. He advocates the utilize of a small number of textual styles and suggests that originators be recognizable with and ace the characteristics of these textual styles so that they can be utilized adaptably in several plan ventures. He incorporates a specific inclination for Helvetica and Bodoni textual styles since they are both classic and down to earth to him.
- The utilize of color
Vignelli too incorporates a one of a kind see on the utilize of color. He accepts that color isn't as it were a portion of aesthetics, but too a apparatus to communicate data. Architects ought to select colors carefully to guarantee that they can successfully back and improve the transmission of data, not fair for decorative impacts.
- Design ethics
When talking approximately plan morals, Vignelli focused that creators ought to be capable for their possess works, not as it were to cater to the wants of clients, but to follow to their claim plan standards and proficient morals. He called on designers to consider the long-term affect of plan within the imaginative prepare and maintain a strategic distance from seeking after short-term interface whereas ignoring the maintainability and social obligation of plan.
- Summary
Through brief and clear content and wealthy cases, "Vignelli Rule on Plan" appears perusers Vignelli's significant knowledge and diligent interest of plan. After perusing this book, I profoundly realize that plan isn't only a innovation, but too a way of considering and demeanor. Vignelli's plan reasoning has imperative directing noteworthiness not as it were for architects, but moreover for all individuals locked in in imaginative work.
This book makes me re-examine my plan strategies and propels me to pay more consideration to usefulness, systematicness and morals in my future plan hone. I accept that by following to these standards and concepts, we will make lovely and commonsense plan works and bring more esteem to the society and clients.
